Bringing Him Into Focus

To hear His voice, we must intentionally filter out noise and focus on Christ. Noise is not just sound—it can also be useless information or constant distractions that interfere with what we are trying to discern.

In photography, noise blurs an image and weakens its clarity. To bring the subject into sharp focus, the noise must be deliberately filtered out.

As we strive to see and hear our Savior, the adversary actively works to introduce noise into our lives, distorting both the picture and the sound. This noise often appears as social media, comparison, money, work, or discouragement. Clarity returns only when we consciously adjust our focus back to the Savior.

We do this daily through sincere prayer, studying and pondering the scriptures, planning and keeping temple appointments, inviting others to follow Him, and partaking of the sacrament each week.

There is no spiritual autofocus to keep us centered on Christ. Clear vision and clear hearing come through consistent, intentional effort—choosing Him, again and again, each day.
