Born to Change the World

As a 6’3” teenage girl trying to know where I fit in, I would stand and say the Young Women’s theme and feel God‘s love for me. Those words led me to want to understand better what God needed me to do in my life. I visited with my parents and my bishop and got a recommend to receive my patriarchal blessing.

Every time I read my patriarchal blessing I am reminded that I received it on Easter. That sweet patriarch scheduled time for me to hear the words God wanted to share with me. Words about how much God loved and believed in me, as well as what He wanted me to do to help others throughout my life. All of those words can become reality because of Jesus and His sacrifice and redeeming love for me.

During this Easter season I invite you to read your patriarchal blessing, or pray about getting one. If you haven’t made it accessible on your phone, do it! God has a work for you to do. He wants you to be reminded often how much He loves you. Receive His words, follow Jesus, and live in His abundant promises. You fit in His plan!

I have felt God’s love for you as I have served in my calling as Young Women President. I echo His love! Keep shining bright! You were born to change the world!
