4 Things to Remember

As I reflect on this period between Christmas and Easter, I often think about what it means to “always remember Him.” Renewing my covenants each Sunday during sacrament meeting invites me to consider how I can more intentionally turn to Him. This is a time when I evaluate where I am on my covenant path and consider ways to strengthen my faith in Him, as taught by President Dallin H. Oaks (“Coming Closer to Jesus Christ,” by Dallin H. Oaks). Everyone is at a different point on their covenant path, and what that means is different for each of us. For me, I like to study the Gospels and focus on the conclusion of the Savior’s earthly ministry and His triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.
As I look forward to this Easter season—my personal favorite time of the year—I remember four things: 1) Jesus Christ atoned for my sins; 2) Jesus Christ was crucified and died on the cross for my sins; 3) on the third day, He broke the bands of death and rose from the tomb; and 4) Jesus Christ lives today and is my Advocate with the Father.
